The CalendarLink alternative with no cap on adds
==================================================

CalendarLink's free plan stops at 50 calendar adds per event, and Startup at 1,000. AddCal has no add limit on any plan, includes its API on the free plan, and costs less at both paid tiers.

### TL;DR: The quick version

- **Unlimited adds on every plan, including free.** CalendarLink caps adds per event at 50 on Free and 1,000 on Startup.
- **REST API and MCP server on the free plan.** CalendarLink starts its API and integrations at Startup, $19/mo, and only reaches AI assistants through Zapier.
- **Business for $20/mo vs $39/mo,** and Premium for $12/mo vs Startup at $19/mo, both billed yearly.
- **Honest note:** CalendarLink's free plan has unlimited events. Ours has 10 new events a month. If you publish lots of small events, that matters more than the add cap.

How we compared: CalendarLink plans and limits are from calendarlink.com, checked on 30 September 2026. AddCal limits are from our current plans.

Why people look for CalendarLink alternatives
---------------------------------------------

All three come straight from CalendarLink's own pricing page.

### Adds are capped per event

The free plan takes 50 calendar adds per event and Startup takes 1,000. A webinar that 1,200 people add has outgrown Startup, and the next step up is Business at $39/mo.

### No API or integrations on free

Free accounts get no API and no integrations. Zapier, Make and the API all start at Startup, $19/mo billed yearly.

### Small RSVP and subscriber caps below Business

Free allows 10 RSVPs per event and 10 subscribers. Startup allows 100 of each. A club night or a community calendar gets past that quickly.

What you get by switching
-------------------------

Three differences do most of the work.

### Unlimited adds on every plan, including free

CalendarLink counts adds per event, so the cap lands on the events people want most. AddCal never counts adds on any plan. A free event can be added 10 times or 10,000 times and the link keeps working.

### Automation from the free plan up

The AddCal REST API and MCP server are on every plan, including free, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can create and manage your events directly. Premium adds Zapier, Zoom and Smart Links, which create an event from a URL and are idempotent, so a trigger that fires twice never makes a duplicate. Business adds webhooks.

### Cheaper at both paid tiers

Premium is $12/mo against Startup at $19/mo, and Business is $20/mo against $39/mo, billed yearly. Both Business plans have unlimited adds. At the lower tier, Premium is unlimited where Startup stops at 1,000 per event.

 CalendarLink vs AddCal: feature comparison
--------------------------------------------

### Free plan

| Feature | AddCal | CalendarLink |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Events | 10 new per month | Unlimited |
| Calendar adds [ AddCal Advantage ] | Unlimited | 50 per event |
| RSVPs per event | 50 | 10 |
| Subscribers | 100 | 10 |
| API [ AddCal Advantage ] | REST API included | |

The two free plans cap opposite things. CalendarLink lets you publish as many events as you like and limits how many people can add each one. AddCal limits new events per month and never limits adds.

### Core features

| Feature | AddCal | CalendarLink |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Add-to-calendar links (Google, Apple, Outlook, Yahoo) | | |
| Subscription calendars | | |
| RSVP | | |
| Calendar on your website | Embed snippet | AI calendar generator |
| Custom domain [ AddCal Advantage ] | Business | Coming soon |
| Reminder emails to attendees | Business, up to 2 per event | |
| Analytics | Premium and up, with UTM reports | Simple on Startup, advanced on Business |

Both cover the everyday work: one link that opens in every calendar app, subscription calendars and RSVP. AddCal branding, templates and appearances are customisable per team and per calendar on paid plans.

### Automation and integrations

| Feature | AddCal | CalendarLink |
| --- | --- | --- |
| REST API [ AddCal Advantage ] | Every plan, incl. free | Startup and up |
| MCP server (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) [ AddCal Advantage ] | Every plan, incl. free | Via Zapier MCP, Startup and up |
| Zapier | Premium and up | Startup and up |
| Make | Via API or webhooks | |
| Dynamic links | Smart Links, idempotent | Smart calendar links |
| Webhooks | Business | Not listed |
| UTM tracking | | |
| Meta and Google Ads conversion pixels | | |

The AddCal API and MCP server are free, and Smart Links never create duplicates when a trigger fires twice. CalendarLink has a native Make integration and ad conversion pixels, which AddCal does not.

### Limits on paid plans

| Feature | AddCal | CalendarLink |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Adds per event (Premium vs Startup) [ AddCal Advantage ] | Unlimited | 1,000 |
| RSVPs per event (Premium vs Startup) | 250 | 100 |
| Subscribers (Premium vs Startup) | 2,000 | 100 |
| RSVPs per event (Business) [ AddCal Advantage ] | Unlimited | 10,000 |
| Subscribers (Business) | Unlimited | 10,000 |

At the lower paid tier AddCal is unlimited on adds and higher on RSVPs and subscribers. At Business, AddCal has no caps at all.

### Billing

| Feature | AddCal | CalendarLink |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Lower paid tier, billed yearly [ AddCal Advantage ] | $12/mo | $19/mo |
| Business, billed yearly [ AddCal Advantage ] | $20/mo | $39/mo |
| Trying it out | Free plan | 7-day trial |
| Single-event licence | | $99 one-off |
| Lifetime deal | | |
| Nonprofit discount | On request | Up to 50%, on request |

CalendarLink has more ways to pay: a one-off licence for a single event, a lifetime deal and Enterprise from $199/mo. AddCal is monthly or yearly, with a free plan that has no trial clock.

AddCal vs CalendarLink: what their comparison page gets wrong
-------------------------------------------------------------

CalendarLink publishes its own CalendarLink vs AddCal page. It has no pricing, no feature table and no screenshots, and it spells our name AddCall. These are its four claims about AddCal, quoted as written.

> "AddCal often provides more generic templates that may not align with specific brand guidelines."

 What's true

Paid AddCal plans remove AddCal branding and let you set your own logo, colours, font, footer text and email sender name, per team or per calendar. Business adds your own domain. On CalendarLink's own pricing page, a custom calendar URL is still marked "coming soon".

> "This reduces manual effort and improves efficiency compared to AddCal's more limited automation options."

 What's true

The AddCal REST API and MCP server are on every plan, free included. CalendarLink's API starts at $19/mo. Premium adds Zapier, Zoom and Smart Links; Business adds webhooks and automatic reminder emails to attendees.

> "These insights are essential for optimizing future events, a feature often less developed in AddCal."

 What's true

AddCal counts every add and click, splits them by calendar app and referrer, and reports UTM source, medium and campaign on paid plans. CalendarLink does offer Meta and Google Ads conversion pixels, which we don't.

> "While AddCal provides basic functionality, CalendarLink offers a more advanced and customizable approach to generating these crucial links"

 What's true

An AddCal link opens in Google, Apple, Outlook, Office 365 and Yahoo, and it has no add limit on any plan. A CalendarLink link on the free plan stops at 50 adds per event.

To us, CalendarLink's comparison pages read like generic, machine-written copy. When we checked on 30 September 2026, the AddCal one used robust 4 times, comprehensive 4 times and streamline or streamlining 5 times, credited an unnamed client with a 25% attendance lift, and had one paragraph drift into comparing CalendarLink with AddEvent instead. Their AddEvent page reads the same way.

CalendarLink vs AddCal pricing
------------------------------

Like for like at each tier, over 12 months.

| Plans compared | AddCal | CalendarLink | You save over 12 months |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| AddCal Premium vs CalendarLink StartupBilled yearly. Adds: unlimited vs 1,000 per event | $12/mo $144 a year | $19/mo $228 a year | $84 |
| AddCal Business vs CalendarLink BusinessBilled yearly. Adds: unlimited on both | $20/mo $240 a year | $39/mo $468 a year | $228 |
| AddCal Premium vs CalendarLink StartupBilled monthly | $15/mo $180 a year | $23/mo $276 a year | $96 |
| AddCal Business vs CalendarLink BusinessBilled monthly | $25/mo $300 a year | $47/mo $564 a year | $264 |

CalendarLink also sells a $99 single-event licence and Enterprise from $199/mo. AddCal has no equivalent to either.

Who should switch (and who should stay)
-----------------------------------------

### AddCal is a good fit if you...

- Run events that more than 50 people add, and don't want to pay to lift a per-event cap
- Want the API and an MCP server on a free plan, or Zapier and Smart Links for less than $19/mo
- Need more than 100 RSVPs or subscribers without paying for Business
- Want an unlimited Business plan for $20/mo instead of $39/mo

### Stay on CalendarLink if you...

- Publish more than 10 small events a month and want to stay on a free plan
- Would rather pay once for a single event ($99) or buy a lifetime licence
- Build your automations in Make and want a native Make app
- Rely on Meta or Google Ads conversion pixels on the event page

Moving from CalendarLink
------------------------

There is no one-click CalendarLink importer, but the move is short.

1

### Export your calendars

Download the .ics feed for any CalendarLink subscription calendar you want to keep.

2

### Import or recreate

Import the .ics under Import, then ICS, or create events through the API. Free accounts can add 10 new events a month.

3

### Swap your links

Replace the add-to-calendar links on your site, in your emails and in your ads with the new AddCal ones.

**Good to know:** Your existing CalendarLink links keep working on CalendarLink's side, so you can move new events first and leave old ones where they are. Our support team will help with the move for free.
