When a West End theater unexpectedly commissions a new play on short notice, she finds herself racing against the clock. As she writes, her story springs to life onstage in a meta theatrical romp complete with false starts, flamboyant butlers, plot twists, cinnamon heists, narrow escapes, and dancing crabs. But can Beatrix thread the needle between madness and brilliance and finish her play before time—and money—run out?
