Fairy House Building Workshops
Wednesdays 4-6pm
November 4, 11, 18, 25
Ages 11-19 and parents or guardians
The Brattleboro Miniature Fest is right around the corner! This year, NEYT’s submission is a fairy house to honor our holiday show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Join us the first four Wednesdays in November to build your own fairy house. Completed houses will be displayed in the NEYT lobby through the month of December.
The workshop will run 4-6 pm and you can come to as many of the sessions as you would like. We’ll be sharing inspiration, supplies, assistance, resources, and advice. You’re free to take your fairy house home to work on it between sessions.
NEYT will have base materials, glue guns, paints and glitter, sticks, bits-o-nature, fake flowers, scraps of fabric and all sorts of odds and ends! Participants are encouraged to bring found objects/nature to use or share with others.
The inspiration...The forest near Athens is covered in snow this summer, as Titania and Oberon's magical quarrel causes the seasons to alter. Fairies, lovers, mechanicals, and royals will face the snowy fallout of the fairy feud on stage at the New England Youth Theatre December 11th-20th!
Materials Cost per session: $20/$15/$10 (pay at the door)
We do not turn anyone due to lack of funds
