Powering the Future Begins with Wind
Economy-wide electrification is becoming central to energy security and is reflected in Türkiye’s COP31 “35 by 35” ambition. Wind is critical to supplying this transition: onshore wind delivers affordable domestic power at scale, while offshore wind provides high-capacity generation that complements other renewables. Together, they strengthen energy security and power growing demand across industry, transport, green hydrogen and digital infrastructure.
COP31 provides a unique platform for industry leaders, investors and policymakers to align behind a shared vision: establishing wind as the cornerstone of the global clean energy transition through the launch of the Global Wind Declaration for Powering the Future: A Blueprint for Accelerated Deployment by Industry and Governments. This will showcase concrete commitments, partnerships and actions needed to continue to enable wind as the primary supply-side solution of the global electrification agenda and the energy transition.
