Connected by Computation, Breaking Silos, BIM at KPF with Joe Brennan | BIM Pure Live #096

Wed, 16 Apr 2025, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Joe Brennan is an architect, an educator, and a senior computational designer at KPF in New York City. Joe is also an assistant adjunct professor of architecture at Columbia University.

Joe's job is to connect all disciplines at KPF through computational design, using a concept he calls the "computational glue." This represents the connective tissue between platforms, disciplines, and stakeholders. In this session, you will learn:

🧪 How to break silos and connect all disciplines
🧪 Why Design Technology is a foundational skill
🧪 How computation allows for more collaboration
🧪 Solving the key challenges in our industry: climate change, inefficiency, and housing shortage.
