This is a two-day event, attendance at both dates is required.

Gain a practical understanding of d&b line array systems and the complete d&b workflow through a combination of theory, software demonstrations, and hands-on experience.

This workshop is designed for audio professionals looking to build confidence in designing, deploying, and optimising d&b line array systems. You'll learn the principles behind line arrays, how to use d&b's planning and control software, and best practices for achieving optimal system performance safely and efficiently.

Requirements 

To attend this workshop, participants must:

• Have successfully completed the d&b Sound System Fundamentals (SSF) course and hold a Certificate of Attendance.

• Bring a laptop with the latest versions of ArrayCalc and R1 Remote Control software installed.

• A mouse is strongly recommended for working with the software.

What You'll Learn 

During this workshop, you'll explore:

• The fundamentals of line array theory and loudspeaker behaviour.

• d&b line array systems, including V-Series, Y-Series, T-Series, and A-Series.

• Standard, Augmented, and Distributed Sub Array configurations.

• System planning using ArrayCalc.

• Creating and managing systems using R1 Remote Control.

• The complete d&b workflow, including:

  • Array Verification

  • ArraySight

  • Filter Sets

• An introduction to ArrayProcessing, including:

  • System simulation and optimisation

  • Generating ArrayProcessing data in ArrayCalc

  • Deploying ArrayProcessing using R1

  • Practical listening sessions demonstrating real-world applications

Hands-On Learning 

The workshop combines classroom instruction with practical demonstrations and listening sessions, allowing participants to:

• Plan and deploy d&b line array systems.

• Gain experience with professional workflow and system optimisation.

• Exchange knowledge and experiences with fellow audio professionals.

• Apply concepts through real-world examples and practical exercises.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have a solid understanding of the d&b line array workflow and the confidence to design, deploy, and optimise d&b array systems in live sound environments.
