Ease back into the academic year with a relaxed evening of community writing! Join the GWI at Casual Animal Taproom in the Crossroads for a casual work session. Whether you are putting the finishing touches on a summer manuscript, organizing your syllabus reading, or just want to write in good company, bring your materials and hang out with fellow grad students.

• When: Wednesday, August 19, 2026 | 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

• Where: Casual Animal Taproom (1725 McGee St, KCMO 64108)

• 🍕 The GWI will provide cheese and pepperoni pizza from Buffalo State Pizza

🎒 What You Should Know:

• Beverages: Attendees are welcome to purchase their own drinks from the taproom bar. (Note: GWI provides the pizza, but does not provide alcohol).

• Transit: Skip parking! Take the KC Streetcar to the Crossroads Stop, walk one block north and three blocks east.
