Create calendar events from any app with Zapier
===============================================

AddCal has its own Zapier app, so anything that happens in another tool can become a calendar event or a calendar invite without code. A form submission, a new order, a booking or a CRM stage change triggers the Create Event action, and the New RSVP trigger fires the moment someone responds, sending their name, email and answers on to your CRM, spreadsheet or Slack.

 What you can do

 What syncs between Zapier and AddCal
-------------------------------------

 Receives from Zapier

### Create Event action

Map any trigger data into the title, description, location, start and end, and mix in static text. The event appears in your chosen calendar with its links ready to share.

 Receives from Zapier

### Send and cancel calendar invites

Actions that email a real calendar invite to a contact, and cancel it again when the trigger reverses, so a booking change reaches their calendar.

 AddCal sends to Zapier

### New RSVP trigger

Fires instantly when someone RSVPs, with their response, name, email and custom form answers, plus the event they answered.

 AddCal sends to Zapier

### Invite response trigger

Fires when an invitee accepts, declines or marks tentative, so the next step can update a CRM or notify the host.

 How to connect Zapier to AddCal
--------------------------------

3 steps, no code unless a step shows some.

1. 1### Pick the trigger in Zapier

    Create a Zap and choose what kicks it off: a form tool, an ecommerce order, a booking app, or AddCal itself for the RSVP direction. Connect that app as usual.

    [Open the AddCal app on Zapier ](https://zapier.com/apps/addcal/integrations)
2. 2### Add AddCal and connect your account

    Search for AddCal in the action step, choose Create Event, and sign in when Zapier asks. Pick the calendar from the dropdown and map the fields from your trigger.

    ```
    Title:      {{Form Name}} with {{First Name}}
    Start:      {{Booking Start}}
    End:        {{Booking End}}
    Timezone:   Australia/Sydney
    Location:   {{Meeting URL}}
    ```
3. 3### Test, then turn it on

    Run the test step and open the event it creates in AddCal. From then on every trigger creates an event, and you can add a second step that emails the add-to-calendar link or the invite.

    ```
    Returned by Create Event:
    event_id, public_url, google_url, apple_url, outlook_url, office365_url, yahoo_url
    ```

 Use cases

Zapier and AddCal use cases
---------------------------

### Form submission to calendar event

A Typeform or Google Forms booking becomes an event, and the follow-up email carries the add-to-calendar button.

### RSVPs into your CRM

Every RSVP creates or updates a contact in Salesforce, Pipedrive or Close, tagged with the event.

### Attendee list in a spreadsheet

Each response appends a row to Google Sheets, so the team shares one live list without exporting.

### Slack alerts for new responses

A message in the events channel every time someone responds, with their answers, so the host sees interest build.

 Good to know

Zapier integration limitations
-------------------------------

### Premium plan on the AddCal side

The Zapier app needs AddCal Premium or above. On Free, a Smart Link in a Zapier email step still creates the event when the recipient clicks, with no Zapier action required.

### Action timing follows your Zapier plan

The RSVP and invite triggers are instant. Actions run on Zapier's schedule, which is near-instant on paid Zapier plans and up to fifteen minutes on the free one.

 What you need

Needs the Premium plan or higher.

 Add-to-calendar links and the REST API are free on every plan. The Zapier app and Smart Links start on Premium. Webhooks and Dynamic Links are on Business. [ Compare plans ](https://addcal.co/pricing.md)

 FAQ

Zapier and AddCal, answered
---------------------------

### What does the AddCal Zapier app include?

Actions to create an event, create an RSVP, send a calendar invite and cancel an invite, and instant triggers for new RSVPs and invite responses. Event dropdowns in the editor list your calendars and events.

### Do I need coding skills?

No. Zapier is a visual editor: pick a trigger, add AddCal as the action or trigger, map the fields and turn the Zap on.

### Which apps can I connect?

Anything on Zapier, 8,000 and counting. Common pairings are Google Forms, Typeform, Shopify, Calendly, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Slack and Gmail.

### Can I customise the event that gets created?

Yes. Every event field is mappable, and you can combine trigger data with fixed text, for example a title that reads "Onboarding with" followed by the customer name.

### Is there an alternative to Zapier?

Make and n8n work through the REST API with their HTTP modules, and webhooks on Business push RSVPs to any endpoint. Smart Links create events from a URL with no automation tool at all.
