What is an add to calendar link?
It is a single URL that adds an event to someone's calendar when they click it. Instead of attaching an .ics file and hoping they can open it, you paste a link into an email, a button or a landing page, and the event lands in whichever calendar app they actually use.
Why links beat .ics attachments
A file has to be downloaded and opened, which frequently fails on phones: iPhones on iOS 17 and older cannot reliably download one at all, and the in-app browsers inside Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp often do nothing when the attachment is tapped. A link sidesteps all of that, because the calendar app opens directly.
Where this free tool stops
