New Link Builder, Analytics Insights, and More \#
-------------------------------------------------

**New Features**

- **Link Builder:** Smart links and dynamic links now share one step-by-step builder, ending with the URL, button embed, and iframe embed together.
- **Dynamic Link Landing Page:** A dynamic link can now open a calendar picker page instead of jumping straight to one provider, so the person clicking chooses Google, Outlook, Apple, or a download.
- **Dynamic Link Click Analytics:** A dedicated view showing clicks over time and which calendar providers people picked.
- **Embeddable Calendar on Public Pages:** Public calendar pages can now render the calendar widget, so the month and week grid shows up on the page itself.
- **Follow Calendar Email Links:** The calendar share screen generates email-ready follow links for a newsletter or signature, matching what event pages already had.
- **Self-Serve Account and Team Deletion:** Delete your account or a team from settings, with a breakdown of what will be removed first.
- **Import Attendees From a Spreadsheet:** Upload a CSV or XLSX to add attendees in bulk, with a preview before anything sends.

**Improvements**

- **Redesigned RSVP and Attendee Tabs:** Rebuilt with a summary of where responses stand, filtering by status, and a cleaner composer for adding people.
- **Analytics Dashboard Rebuild:** Multi-select filters, a best-time-to-post heatmap, lead time between subscribing and the event, subscription growth, provider split, and link attribution.
- **Zapier Triggers for RSVPs and Invites:** Zapier can now filter on RSVP and invite events, and all webhook types run through the same delivery path.
- **Rebuilt Timezone Selector:** Faster, and city search actually finds cities now.
- **Series Display Options:** Control how recurring series appear on public pages and in add-to-calendar buttons from appearance settings.
- **Hide Add-to-Calendar:** A new appearance setting to hide the add-to-calendar UI on public calendar pages.
- **Color Picker and Event Form:** A new color wheel picker, and a tidier event form.
- **Structured Data for Public Events:** Event pages now emit schema.org JSON-LD so they show up properly in search results.

**Bug Fixes**

We've also shipped a steady stream of fixes across public event pages, calendar sync, RSVP settings, billing, and analytics.

📨 Calendar Invites \#
---------------------

Attendees can now be invited to your events the same way a meeting invite arrives from Google Calendar or Outlook. AddCal sends a real calendar invitation by email, their mail client shows native Yes / No / Maybe buttons, and accepting writes the event straight into their primary calendar.

**Key New Features**

- **Native invites from the public event page:** Someone enters their email on your event page and gets a proper calendar invitation, not a link to click. Accepting puts the event in their own calendar, no subscription needed.
- **Responses tracked automatically:** When an attendee hits Yes, No, or Maybe in their mail client, the reply comes back to AddCal and their status updates on the event. You see who's accepted, declined, or is tentative without them filling in a form.
- **Invite an attendee yourself:** Add people by email from the event's invite tab and send them an invitation directly, individually or in bulk.
- **Edits and cancellations propagate:** Change the time, date, or location and confirm the update, and everyone who accepted gets a revised invite that updates the event already sitting in their calendar. Delete the event and they get a cancellation.
- **Resend and cancel individual invites:** Chase someone who never responded, or pull a single invitation back, from the invite list.
- **Works alongside RSVP:** If you already collect RSVPs, the calendar invite can ride along with the confirmation email so attendees get the form experience and the calendar entry in one go.
- **Invites API:** Send, list, resend, and cancel invites programmatically. Zapier can also trigger on invite responses.

A Redesigned Calendar View, Everywhere \#
-----------------------------------------

We've rebuilt the embeddable calendar with a cleaner look, color-coded events, and new ways to view a busy month. That same month and week grid is now built into your public calendar pages too, not just the embed, where visitors switch between the classic list and a full calendar view with one click. To get the new embed look, grab the updated v3 code from your calendar's embed settings.

**What's New**

- **Color-coded events:** Events carry their calendar's color through the month, week, and schedule views, so a packed calendar is easier to scan. Collections show each source calendar in its own color.
- **New views:** An hour-by-hour week grid and a vertical-timeline schedule view, alongside the existing layouts.
- **Hover to preview:** On desktop, hovering an event shows a quick card with the time, calendar, and location.
- **Rebuilt for mobile:** The month becomes a tap-friendly dot grid; tap a day for its events, then an event for a detail sheet.
- **Calendar view on public pages:** Pick the default visitors land on (List, Month, or Week) in appearance settings, and link straight to a view via the page URL.
- **Calendar filter for collections:** Embedded collections get a "Calendars" control to show or hide individual calendars, each with its color.

Calendar Collections, ICS Import, and a Redesigned Dashboard \#
---------------------------------------------------------------

This release adds two big new ways to share and bring in calendars, a new home for managing RSVPs, and a refreshed look across the dashboard and most of the management pages.

**Key New Features**

- **Calendar Collections:** Bundle several calendars into a single collection that people can subscribe to in one tap. Subscribers get every calendar in the bundle in their calendar app, and adding a calendar to the collection later flows through automatically.
- **ICS Calendar Import:** Import events straight from an .ics file. You get a preview of what will be created before anything is saved, and duplicate events are detected and skipped so re-importing the same file stays clean.
- **RSVP Dashboard:** A dedicated page for viewing and managing responses across your RSVP events, so you no longer have to open each event to see who's coming.
- **Embed Calendars in an iframe:** Calendars can now be embedded inline on your own site the same way single events can, with the embed code generated for you from the share screen.
- **Command Palette:** Press ⌘K (Ctrl K on Windows) to jump anywhere in the app, search your calendars and events, and run common actions without clicking through the menus.

**Improvements**

- **Redesigned Dashboard:** The dashboard now leads with performance metrics, an attention queue that surfaces what needs action, and a recent activity feed.
- **Refreshed Management Pages:** The calendars list, integrations page, and custom forms list have been rebuilt with search, filtering, sorting, and pagination. Custom forms can also be duplicated now.
- **Advanced Event List Filtering and Sorting:** Filter and sort the event list with more control to find events in busy calendars faster.
- **Smoother iOS Calendar Subscribing:** When subscribing from an in-app browser on iOS (like the Instagram or Facebook browser), a sheet now guides you through opening the link in Safari so the subscription completes correctly.
- **Claim Events on Signup:** If you created an event before making an account, signing up with Google or Microsoft now links that event to your new account automatically.

**Bug Fixes**

- **Branded email buttons:** Buttons in your branded emails now use your team's actual brand color instead of falling back to the default, so confirmations and reminders match the rest of your branding.
- We've also shipped a steady stream of fixes across iCal feeds, calendar name handling, event list display, image cleanup, and a batch of smaller papercuts throughout the app.

Reschedule Single Occurrences, Smart Link Embeds & More \#
--------------------------------------------------------------

This release adds more flexibility for recurring events, a new way to embed events with Smart Links, and a billing quality-of-life upgrade.

### Key New Features

- **Reschedule a Single Occurrence:** You can now move one occurrence of a recurring event to a new date or time without breaking the rest of the series. The occurrence keeps its RSVPs, public page, and short link, and subscribed calendars pick up the change automatically.
- **Smart Link Embeds:** Add embed=1 to any Smart Link to render the event inline in an iframe instead of redirecting, ideal for booking confirmation pages. The Smart Link URL builder now has an embed toggle and generates the iframe code for you.
- **Automatic Invoice Emails:** Opt in from your billing settings to have every invoice emailed to your billing address as soon as payment goes through, handy for tax records and bookkeeping.

### Improvements

- **Accessibility on Public Pages:** Event pages and RSVP forms now have proper screen reader labels, keyboard focus states, error announcements, and button contrast that meets WCAG AA 2.1.
- **Flexible Marketing Consent Fields:** Consent checkboxes on registration forms can now be optional, as regulations like GDPR expect, and the checkbox text is customizable.
- **Change Your RSVP From Reminder Emails:** The link in reminder emails now takes attendees straight to editing their existing response.

### Bug Fixes

We've also fixed location syncing for external calendars, add-to-calendar redirects, the events list view, and a batch of smaller papercuts throughout the app.

RSVP From Any Calendar App, Localized Emails, and Better Event Management \#
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

A set of upgrades focused on closing the loop with attendees wherever they read your events, plus sharper tools for managing recurring events and busy event lists.

**Key New Features**

- **RSVP Links in Subscribed Calendar Feeds:** Subscribers in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook now see a direct RSVP link at the top of every RSVP-enabled event description, so they can respond without switching back to the web.
- **Localized RSVP Confirmation & Reminder Emails:** Confirmation and reminder emails are now sent in the language the attendee saw on your public event page, across all 22 supported languages.
- **Single-Occurrence Add to Calendar:** For recurring events, you can now generate an add-to-calendar link, button, or embed that adds only the next single occurrence instead of the entire series.
- **Smarter Event List Filters:** Filter the events dashboard by tag, by RSVP-enabled only, or hide events imported from external calendars.
- **Mobile Auto-Switch for Embedded Calendars:** Embedded calendars can automatically switch to the schedule view on small screens for a cleaner mobile layout.

**Improvements**

- **Better Recurring Event Editor:** Sensible 10-occurrence default, an explicit choice between "ends after N occurrences" and "ends on a date," a complete preview when the rule is bounded, and a warning if the start date is in the past.
- **Background Spam Protection:** Automatic spam detection for events and calendars keeps public pages clean with no action needed from legitimate organizers.
- **Account Security Hardening:** Account deletion now requires password confirmation, magic login links are strictly single-use, external calendar imports are protected against SSRF, and we've added payload size limits.

**Bug Fixes**

We've also shipped a steady stream of fixes across external calendar sync, recurring series handling, the Google Calendar subscribe flow on Android, embed loading, billing edge cases, and plenty of smaller papercuts throughout the app.

New: Week & Day Calendar Views, Microsoft Login, and Enhanced Event Controls \#
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We’ve rolled out a new set of platform upgrades and functional improvements to give you better visibility into your schedule and more granular control over your event configurations.

### Key New Features:

- **New Calendar View Modes:** You can now toggle between **Month, Week, and Day views** within the calendar. Your preferred view is automatically saved, so your dashboard always opens exactly how you like it.
- **Microsoft Sign-In:** We’ve expanded our authentication options. You can now securely sign up or log in to AddCal using your **Microsoft account** for a faster setup experience.
- **Embedded Localization:** You can now generate "Add to Calendar" embed codes and links in specific languages, ensuring the buttons and dropdowns match your website's local language.
- **Duplicate RSVP Prevention:** Organizers can now enable a setting to prevent multiple RSVPs from the same person. If an attendee submits a new response with the same email, their existing entry is updated rather than creating a duplicate.
- **Hide Series Subscription Options:** New template settings allow you to hide the "add entire series" or "future events" options for recurring events, giving you more control over how users subscribe to your series.
- **Hide Event Location:** We've added a new toggle to Appearance templates that allows you to hide the event location link if you prefer a cleaner event page layout.

New: Dynamic Links, Bulk Operations, and Custom Branding \#
-----------------------------------------------------------

This update introduces a programmatic way to generate event links, improved tools for managing large volumes of events, and additional branding controls.

### Key New Features:

- **Dynamic Links:** Generate personalized add-to-calendar links programmatically from URL query parameters (similar to Addevent). A dedicated [UI builder](https://addcal.co/integrations/dynamic-links) is now available in the dashboard to help construct these links instantly.
    - **AddEvent Compatibility:** We've also added a compatible "dynamic add-to-calendar" endpoint (/api/dyn\_ade). This allows existing AddEvent integrations to be pointed at AddCal with minimal changes, featuring automatic parameter mapping and click tracking.
- **Bulk Event Operations:** Manage schedules more efficiently with new bulk actions in the event list. You can now select multiple events to delete, tag, or move them to a different calendar in a single operation.
- **Shareable RSVP Lists:** Securely share attendee data with collaborators. Organizers can generate a unique, read-only URL that allows stakeholders to view the RSVP list in real-time without needing an AddCal account or dashboard access.
- **Custom Favicons:** Upload a custom browser tab icon for both Event Templates and Custom Domains to ensure a fully white-labeled experience.
- **Smarter RSVP Summaries:** Daily notifications are now automatically throttled to a weekly cadence when no new responses are received to reduce email volume.

- **Performance Tweaks:** Backend optimizations to keep your dashboard fast, regardless of your event volume.

New Features: Custom Domains, Links, and Flow \#
------------------------------------------------

We've been cooking up some behind-the-scenes magic to make managing your events even smoother! This release focuses on giving you cleaner links, more control over your custom domain, and a better subscriber experience.

### Key New Features:

- **Custom Short Links for Calendars:** We've extended our short link functionality so that **Calendars (in addition to events)** can now utilize custom short links.
- **Clean URL Format on Custom Domains:** This enhancement allows both calendar and event links on your custom domain to use **clean, memorable URLs** (e.g., events.example.com/PKF instead of events.example.com/c/PKF).
- **Custom Domain Homepage Redirect:** You can now **configure a Homepage Redirect URL** for your custom domain (e.g., calendar.example.com). Instead of showing a generic 404, visitors to your domain root will be sent to the specific URL you configure (or a helpful 404 if none is set).
- **Improved Calendar Subscription Trigger:** We've improved the subscription experience with an **automatic calendar app trigger** (for Apple and Outlook Desktop). If the automatic trigger fails, we now provide **comprehensive manual import guides** for all common calendar applications.
- **Configurable External Sync Settings:** Events imported from external calendars now benefit from smart configuration. We automatically apply your **configured default RSVP and email reminder settings** to newly imported external events, saving you manual setup time.

🌐 Custom Domains \#
-------------------

You can now host your event and calendar pages on your own **custom domain** (e.g., events.yourcompany.com or schedule.mybrand.co).

This Business plan feature ensures full brand consistency and trust across every touchpoint.

### Custom Domain Use Cases:

- **White Labeling:** Deliver a completely branded experience where visitors never leave your domain, removing all third-party branding.
- **Brand Trust:** Use a recognizable subdomain to increase user confidence in registration and subscription links.
- **SEO & Tracking:** Maintain maximum SEO benefit and tracking consistency by keeping all your content under one root domain.

🔁 Event Series \#
-----------------

We've revolutionized how recurring events work with our new **Event Series** system. This major upgrade replaces the old event recurrence approach with a more intuitive and flexible way to manage your repeating events.

Unlike traditional recurring events, each event in a series is a real, standalone event that can be customized independently.

### Key Advantages of Event Series

- **Individual Event Customization:** Modify any event in a series without affecting other instances. Change the location for a single meeting or add special details to a holiday event with ease.
- **Independent RSVP Management:** Every event in a series has its own unique RSVP list, attendee tracking, and capacity limits.
- **Perfect External Calendar Sync:** Event Series solve common sync issues by ensuring each event syncs perfectly as an individual calendar entry, eliminating conflicts and ensuring perfect integration with Google, Outlook, and other calendars.

### Plus, some other improvements:

- **Per-event RSVP:** Now available for all events in a series.
- **Improved External Calendar Sync:** Overall reliability and speed have been significantly boosted.
- **Date Filtering via API:** You can now filter events by date when using our API.

Enhanced Recurrence Handling \#
-------------------------------

We've improved how recurring events are handled, giving you and your visitors more control over which events are added to their calendar.

- **Selective Event Imports:** When a visitor clicks the "Add to Calendar" button for a recurring event on both the event page and calendar page, they can now choose to add just the next upcoming occurrence or all future occurrences of the event. This allows them to keep their personal calendars clean while still staying up-to-date.
- **Improved Recurrence Display:** Event pages now clearly show recurrence details, such as "Weekly on Thursday" as well as the date of the next upcoming recurrence. This helps visitors easily understand the event schedule.
