⏰ Automated RSVP Email Reminders

We're excited to introduce Automated Email Reminders for your events, a powerful new feature designed to boost attendance and keep your registered attendees informed! Now, event organizers on Business plans can automatically send timely reminder emails to their RSVP attendees before events begin.

Key features include:

  • Flexible Timing Options: Set reminders to send days or hours before your event (e.g., 1-7 days, 1-23 hours, or a combination).
  • Smart Processing: Reminders are sent automatically in the background, only once, and only for active, upcoming events.
  • Professional Emails: Reminder emails match your event branding, include event details, and attach a calendar file (.ics) for easy adding to attendees' calendars.

📌 Event Tagging and Pinning

We're excited to introduce Event Tagging and Pinning, giving you more control over how your events are organized and highlighted!

  • Event Tagging: You can now assign custom tags to your events. This allows for better categorization and organization, making it easier for you and your users to find specific types of events.
  • Event Pinning: Highlight important events by "pinning" them. Pinned events will appear at the top of your event lists, ensuring they get maximum visibility regardless of their date.

We're introducing a new Duplicate Calendar feature, allowing you to quickly clone entire calendars with all their events and settings. This significant improvement saves you  time, making it perfect for creating templates, setting up seasonal events, or safely testing new configurations.

Custom RSVP Email Branding allows you to personalize your RSVP confirmation emails!

  • Use Your Logo & Custom Colors: Replace AddCal branding with your own logo, and select custom background and accent colors.
  • Setting a Custom "From" Name: Control the sender name displayed in the email.

RSVP Confirmation Emails

We've introduced automated RSVP Confirmation Emails, ensuring your attendees receive immediate confirmation and essential event details after they RSVP! This is a Premium Feature.

Once someone responds to your event's RSVP, an automated email is sent with their response confirmation, an attached calendar event (.ics file) for easy adding, full event details, and direct links to view the event page or update their RSVP.

We're excited to announce Custom RSVP Forms, giving you the power to collect all the information you need from your event attendees!

Key capabilities include:

  • Tailored Fields: Add a variety of field types to your forms, such as text fields, number fields, dropdowns, radio buttons, dates, country selectors, US states, marketing consent checkboxes, and query string fields (which auto-populate from the URL).
  • Field Control: Set individual fields as required or optional, and choose whether they are visible to attendees.
  • Default Forms: Create a default RSVP form that can be automatically applied to all your new RSVP events.

🔄 External Calendar Sync

We've introduced External Calendar Sync, a powerful new feature allowing you to centralize all your appointments, meetings, and events by importing them from other platforms directly into AddCal! This is perfect for consolidating work or client schedules into one place.

  • Supported Calendars: Connect any app with a calendar feed, including popular services like Google, Outlook/Office 365, and many more.
  • Hourly Sync: External events automatically sync with your AddCal calendar every hour, ensuring your schedule is always up-to-date.
  • Visible to Subscribers: Synced events are visible in your calendar and to your subscribers, providing a comprehensive view of your schedule.

You can now embed your AddCal calendars directly into any website or application with a highly customizable widget. This allows you to display your calendar events seamlessly on your own platforms.

Key features of Calendar Embedding include:

  • Display your calendar events on any website or application.
  • Choose between Month and Schedule (List) views.
  • "Add to Calendar" buttons are included for each event.
  • Follow / Subscribe buttons for visitors to easily keep up with your events.
  • Automatic timezone conversion to display events in your user's local time.

We're excited to introduce Templates, a premium feature giving you full control over the appearance and behavior of your event and calendar pages!

With Templates, you can now customize key elements to match your brand and preferences:

  • Branding & Appearance: Upload your own logo to be prominently displayed on event pages, define base and accent colors, and select your preferred font family to ensure a consistent look.
  • Display Options: Choose to hide the "Add to Calendar" section entirely or set pages to use a 24-hour time format.
  • Custom Text: Add specific text below the event description and to the page footer for additional messaging.
  • Calendar Services Control: Tailor which calendar services are shown to your users, providing a streamlined experience.

You can also set any template as a team default, applying it to all events without a specific template assigned.

We're excited to announce our new Zoom integration, designed to streamline your scheduling and meeting management within AddCal!

Now you can seamlessly connect your Zoom account with AddCal to:

  • Sign Up/In with Zoom: Conveniently sign up for or sign in to AddCal using your existing Zoom account credentials.
  • Import Zoom Meetings: Easily import your existing Zoom meetings directly into your AddCal calendar.
  • Create Events with Zoom Links: Generate new calendar events in AddCal that automatically include your Zoom meeting links.
  • Automatic Updates: Any changes made to your Zoom meetings will automatically update in AddCal, keeping your schedule perfectly aligned.

📅 Calendar View in Events List

We're excited to introduce a brand new Calendar View for your events list, offering an intuitive way to manage your schedule!

This new view provides a clean month-by-month display with smart navigation, allowing you to easily browse events across months. Events are color-coded for quick identification, and you can see up to 6 events with an option to view more if there's an overflow. The view integrates with your existing search, allowing real-time filtering of events. It also intelligently displays dates based on your local settings (US/EU/AU week start).

UTM Tracking in Analytics

We're excited to introduce comprehensive UTM tracking within your AddCal analytics!

Now, you can gain deeper insights into the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns and traffic sources. Our enhanced analytics dashboard automatically captures and displays data from UTM parameters (Source, Medium, Campaign, Term, and Content) appended to your event and calendar page links. This allows you to understand traffic sources, evaluate marketing mediums, measure campaign performance, and analyze search terms and content.

Introducing Smart Links

We're excited to introduce Smart Links, a powerful new way to allow others to add events directly to your calendar.

How They Work: When someone uses a Smart Link (via a generated URL or embedded button), it dynamically creates an event directly in the calendar you've associated with that link. The event appears on your calendar as if you added it, ensuring all your existing tracking, analytics, and notification settings apply automatically.

Smart Links are currently in beta and are completely free to use during this period.

This capability opens up powerful opportunities to automate event creation directly within your existing content management systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, or any other tool you use to manage your online presence and campaigns.

We've also added new themes for the embeddable button, including a light button and options for icon/button lists, giving you more flexibility in how you display Smart Links and Embedded Event Buttons on your site.

Event and Calendar Images & Enhanced Open Graph

We've added the ability to upload images for your events and calendars!

You can now upload a specific image for each event and calendar page. These images will be displayed prominently on the respective pages and will also be used as the image when your event or calendar link is shared on social media or other platforms that support Open Graph tags. This feature is available for subscribers.

We've also enhanced our Open Graph tags. Now, when your event or calendar link is embedded or shared, the Open Graph data will automatically include the event name and description, providing a richer preview of your content.

Events Now Displayed in Local Timezones ⏰

We've made viewing events even more convenient for your users. Events on your event and calendar pages are now automatically displayed in your user's local timezone.

This means no more manual calculations or confusion about when an event is actually happening for them.

Furthermore, your visitors have the flexibility to select a different timezone if they prefer. This selection will be saved for their future visits to your pages, ensuring a consistent experience.

Add To Calendar Buttons ✅

We've released a powerful new "Add to Calendar" button designed for seamless integration into your websites and landing pages, making it easier than ever for people to save your events.

Instead of providing multiple links for different calendar services, you can now display a single button. When clicked, this button uses a small piece of JavaScript to reveal a user-friendly dropdown menu. From this menu, your attendees can quickly select their preferred calendar application (such as Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, and more) and add your event directly to their personal schedule with just one click.

Enhanced Calendar Subscription Management

We're thrilled to introduce powerful new tools for managing your calendar subscribers, giving you more control and insight, alongside an improved interface:

  • Redesigned Calendar Management Page: We've updated the calendar management interface with dedicated tabs for easier navigation. You'll now find separate sections for managing Events, viewing Subscriptions, and Editing Details for your calendar.
  • Subscriber Management: Within the new 'Subscriptions' tab, you have a dedicated area to view, edit, and block specific subscribers from accessing your calendar feed. This provides greater control over who receives your calendar updates and helps you keep track of subscriber interactions. Demo Event Here.
  • Collect Subscriber Information: Gain better insights into your audience by enabling information collection for new subscribers. You can require name and email address upon subscription. (Support for custom fields is coming soon!). This is a premium feature.
  • Hide Events Before Subscription: When subscriber information collection is turned on, you now have the option to hide specific event details in the calendar feed until the user subscribes. This can encourage subscriptions, and once subscribed they will be shown the events along with the subscription links.

You Asked For It, We Built It: Introducing the RSVP Feature!

Based on your feedback, we've developed and released the new RSVP feature to enhance your event management capabilities.

Attendees can now easily indicate their attendance status for your events by selecting 'Going', 'Maybe', or 'Can't Go'. This provides you with a clearer picture of expected attendance.

To help you manage capacity, you can now set specific attendee limits for your events. Once the set limit is reached, the RSVP option will automatically close for that event.

We've also added notification settings to keep you informed about new RSVPs. You can choose between receiving instant notifications for each response or a daily summary. Please note that the RSVP notification settings are a feature available to premium users.

We are also working on adding more functionality soon, including the ability to collect custom fields from your attendees during the RSVP process and email confirmations for attendees who RSVP.

April 2025 - Features & Enhancements

We're excited to announce several new features and improvements to enhance your scheduling experience:

  • Event Time Format Preference: You can now choose your preferred time display when creating or editing events within AddCal. Head to your Account Settings to select either 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour time format for the event management interface.
  • Set Attendee Calendar Event Status: You can now configure whether events booked through AddCal appear as 'Free' or 'Busy' time on your attendees' calendars once they add the event. Adjust this setting based on the nature of your events.
  • Event Reminders: Never miss an important meeting again! You can now configure automatic reminders to be sent before your scheduled events, helping you and your attendees stay punctual.
  • Privacy Control - Disable Advanced Analytics: For users with specific privacy requirements, we've added an option in Account Settings to disable advanced analytics tracking associated with your account activity.
